This is Benji. He’s about 8 years old. When we found him, he was just skin and bones—half the weight he should be. Mange had taken over almost all of his body. His fur was gone, and his skin was red, swollen, and cracked. He must have been in so much pain. At first, we thought he had a third ear, but it turned out to be a large, strange mass drooping over his eye. On top of all that, he has TVT cancer.
It’s heartbreaking to think how long he suffered like that, alone.
But now, things are changing. Thanks to everyone who gave, who shared, who cared—Benji has a second chance. He’s safe. He’s getting treatment, good food, soft blankets, and gentle hands. Most of all, he’s getting love.
Benji won’t go through another day alone. For the rest of his life, he’ll know what it feels like to be loved, really loved.
Thank you for helping him get there.
